2014 Jack Kaelin NKY Freshman Invitational Tourney

Featured Replies

TOG, thanks for the latest updates.

Cheeseman for Ryle would of made this game interesting with CCH. He looked real good the couple times I saw him this year. Must be injured.

Who won the Frosh Tourney the last 3 years? Just curious as to how things are playing out at the Varsity level.

08 - Boone

09 - Boone

10 - Scott

11 - Cov Cath

12 - Cov Cath

13 - Simon Kenton

Boone won the 9th region championship in 2012, right? I think that played out well for them at the varsity level. Scott went to the regional finals last year and Cov Cath has had a great last couple of years. It surely helps having the Ruthsatz boy and CVH added to those teams that won the region. Great problem to have. SK will have a solid next few years with this group that's coming through.

Cheeseman is a great player but has been out most of the year with a thumb injury. The game was interesting without him. Back and forth close game to the end. Score does not indicate how close the game was or what happened in the game. Ryle has only lost to a couple of teams outside of CCH(Moeller and Lasalle). In my opinion, the Championship game was played last night. The two best teams were Ryle and CCH.

We all have opinions, mine Is no better than yours. Ryle has a very nice team, but the 2 best freshman teams up here are NCC and CCH.

We all have opinions but I disagree with your opinion. NCC has a nice team, no doubt, but I don't think they are as athletic over all as Ryle.

Who won the Cov Cath game vs NCC played at Cov Cath last month, or was that a fluke?

I don't know who won. I don't follow either team consistently. From the tone of your message, it sounds like NCC won. NCC is a great team. I also think, pound for pound, one of the toughest schools to compete against in any sport. Just my opinion that Ryle is better.

I guess Highlands beat the best Frosh team in NKy when they beat NCC a couple weeks ago?

I have to say, Highlands played very well that game and took advantage of NCC not having a good day. From what I had heard, NCC had been off for 10 days prior to that game but seemed to have turned it around to play Scott 10 days after that during the freshman tournament.

Nice win by Highlands.

Does this change the CCH vs SK game time as well, or did they just move this game in front of the other?

Is 33 the same Greene I saw at the CCH/Holmes game getting minutes in both JV & Varsity? Nice player..

From what I understand they are just moving the NCC Vs. Holmes game up and leaving the CovCath Vs. SK game as it was. I believe NCC has some function that is going on that night that they want to attend. Maybe a NCC fan can explain!

As far as Greene! Honestly have no idea! You should in a PM ask Walter.....
