April 30, 201412 yr Pretty good article summarizing the basic theory of the Night's King. He was apparently a Stark from many generations ago who was in the Night's Watch. He fell in love with a White Walker woman, and ruled from a castle along the Wall, until his brother (another Stark) removed him from the area. Before he was removed, however, he converted 13 of his fellow brothers into White Walkers using some dark magic. Not much is known of him besides that. The episode was great, IMO. It's about time, as a book-reader, that something is illustrated/foreshadowed not as GRRM writes in the books. I think it was episode two, the vision Bran sees of dragons was confirmed by Martin as foreshadowing as well.
May 5, 201412 yr This show doesn't disappoint. Another excellent episode. Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner
May 5, 201412 yr Author So my book readers. Any idea on what in the hell the guy was trying to do with Bran?
May 5, 201412 yr I just read an article that said because one the close relationship of GRRM with the show runners there is much license taken by the show with more to come. That said in the books didn't Bran meet Sam before going north of the Wall? As I recall Sam was sworn to secrecy from Jon because Jon would try to stop Bran on his quest. Could this deviation just be a way to show that conflict in Bran without the Sam sub plot?
May 6, 201412 yr So my book readers. Any idea on what in the hell the guy was trying to do with Bran? He was going to kill him, remember. Roose Bolton told him to find Bran and kill him. This was during the scene with Theon, Ramsay, and Bolton
May 6, 201412 yr Author He was going to kill him, remember. Roose Bolton told him to find Bran and kill him. This was during the scene with Theon, Ramsay, and Bolton Oh man you're right. I completely forgot about that. These little quirks throw me off :lol2:. For some reason all I could think of was the wildlings were trying to get him.
May 6, 201412 yr I want a mini series of the Hound and Arya :lol2: She's my favorite character. I haven't read the books, but I get the feeling she is going to make some people pay. Hopefully not Hound, I've grown to like him.
May 12, 201412 yr Yeah... So... Peter Dinklage. Wow! I'm stealing this line from Reddit but: "Dinklage: I... am guilty... of winning an Emmy!"
May 12, 201412 yr For those of you who are just show watchers....Things are about to get really good. Peter Dinklage was outstanding last night.
