Brohm selected to replace Petrino

Western Kentucky wasted no time finding the man to replace former WKU football coach Bobby Petrino. The Daily News has learned that WKU offensive coordinator Jeff Brohm will be named coach as early as Friday.

Awesome news for the 42 year old former Trinity, U of L, and NFL QB. I predict much success at WKU and then Jeff can "fulfill his destiny" at U of L when Petrino retires!

I like this hire for WKU. Hope he does well.

Fantastic.

Good luck to him.

Glad to see WKU move so quickly.

Why didn't Petrino try to bring him to UL? Do you think WKU moved in a hurry to avoid that?

Definitely a quality hire for WKU; happy for them.

Agree with everything you said in this post except the bolded. Petrino won't retire from Louisville. Maybe when Petrino quits then Jeff will land the job. He will IMO leave for another bigger job someday. I think Petrino thinks he has some unfinished business to take of and he's not going to fulfill it coaching a team playing in the American Conference. He has done it before and what makes you think he is not going to do it again. Hopefully Louisville didn't make Bobby raise his right hand and promise not to ever leave the program for greener pastures again. Cause it will happen....

a team playing in the American Conference.

Not anymore, brother...

UofL will never play another football game as a member of the American.

Okay I stand corrected. Where will they play? Shows you how much I follow College football in the State of Ky. I know the cats play in the SEC right?

ACC as of July 1 of this year.

Yeah... the Cats are still in the SEC. :lol2:

Good for Jeff. Much luck to him.
