Litkenhous ratings 1/6/14

Or CovCath!:lol2:

Well back in the day we were #1 :thumb: and if you want to vote CovCath #1, I won't argue with you or with the Lit or Cantrell either! :lol2:

Litkenhous. I still contend it's an outhouse in Germany.

Somebody mind my stein full of stout while I hit the Litkenhous.

Region 1 actually uses this first Litkenhous to seed it's All A tournament. Always have been some strange seedings for that tournament. Too small a sample.

Better than a blind draw.

These rankings are better than cantrall for the 1st region

I think that's totally absurd.

Better than a blind draw which the other regions use

I agree with this.

This week in the 9th will give us an indication, in reality, where teams stand at this moment in the region. Statewide, it looks like Ballard and everyone else anyway. For once, I hope my flight gets cancelled to Hartford tomorrow so I can see the first of two big games this week! Although matchups are critical when these three play.

The thing about computer ratings that I don't think many understand:

The only thing to disagree with is the formula used to rank the teams because absolutely NO ONE is sitting there ranking one team ahead of another. There are ZERO comparisons. It's all math. Whoever comes out with the highest number is #1.

Also, I don't think people look past the rankings to the actual number of the rating. CovCath, NewCath and Holmes are separated by 3 total points. For all intents and purposes, they're basically even ... which I don't think many would argue about. (What am I thinking? Of course you all will argue about it!) :jump:

Dr. Lit is pretty accurate toward the end of the season IMO.

BOO!!!

I do agree with this. I just hate to wait for the end of the season for some rankings I can get behind.

Damn right. Argue all night!!!!

I think if it was in the order of NCC, Holmes, CCH there would be less to argue about if separated by 3 points. No one sees the points. We see the order.

So you saying Holmes is better than Scott co because they beat them in a scrimmage well hopefully they meet again when it's not a scrimmage then we shall see who is better.
