Jon Kitna Is Donating His Game Check

Featured Replies

Kitna is one of the good dudes in sports.

Yes, he is.

A few years back my son was traveling from Cincy to Seattle. Struck up a conversation with the guy behind him (long flight); turned out to be Kitna. They got up a Scrabble game with a couple other passengers.

Kitna was a nice, unassuming (conversation started out with "I work in Cincinnati but I'm from Washington") guy.

I think it's great that he's a teacher now. Shows he didn't let the NFL go to his head.

Nice gesture by Kitna. I wish I could stand in the sidelines for one week and earn $50,000

You sort of do, right? :sssh:

How so?

Really like Kitna, I was both shocked and happy when I saw that he was the Cowboys 3rd string QB this week. Just a really neat guy.

Was obviously being flippant, but that you earn your money literally standing / sitting on a sideline.

I thought that's what you meant. Now for the $50,000 part...uh lol

Good dude!

In related news...the Cowboys would rather hire a 41-year old high school teacher than Tim Tebow lol

Kitna knows the offense, has a decent track record, and is a traditional NFL QB.

Exactly what I think when I hear teams have interest in Favre, etc.

This one kinda makes sense considering Kitnas command of the offense and the changes they'd need to make to accommodate Tebow though.
