You should definitely go. I went a couple years ago and saw them play Holy Cross. The Holy Cross fans pulled a really cool half-time "ghostbusters" stunt that actually got a big round of applause from the Covington Catholic fans and students. It was a fun night of basketball.

Not only did the Colonels get back at X for the loss last year they did it in beatdown fashion.

I understand that the NewCath players were in attendance to watch the Colonels give St. X a good spanking. I imagine that with their observance of the game it solidified in them the theory that the 9th is not just a two-trick pony this year. I have to believe that it made them realize (if they didn't already) that without a doubt they'll have their hands full when they face off, and it's not gonna just be a walk in the park.

NCC was in attendance and got a salute (nice) from the crazies on the way out the door. For me I have seen CCH play better so I don't think they saw the colonels best. St. X was very scappy and made for a tough time scoring. Also with half time score 40 to 21 I think CCH let up a bit before turning it back on again. I look forward to the trilogy to come. NCC, CCH and Holmes!

A large amount of HS coaches arrange their schedules to get their players ready for Tournament games this way. Good more by Lou St. X by getting their players use to spending the night at a Hotel and playing in back to back games.

I don't know if they still do, but during state AAU tournaments, we'd play at least two a day. Those kids were ok, unless that OT game was a "GCL" game. That's like playing bball in an octagon cage.
