I was at that Male/Trinity game and to this day still the best game I have ever watched.

 

The only bad part besides Male losing(And yes I will take a hit again for this next part) was all of the young students from Trinity that set close to where I was smoking)

Just noticed that you have always hoped for a Trinity loss in most cases.

I do not root for them often, but it has nothing to do with being private.

 

They are usually playing teams I like more.

I was at the Male vs Trinity game and without question it is the best high school game I have ever watched but as someone said it is in the eyes of the beholder. I watched this one today and it too was unreal and would not get my consideration had it not been for the backup being the guy who won it. Now as for greatest finish, I don't see how today's game can be topped. If you replayed that 10 times couldthat kid have done that in those circumstances? We will never know but he did it the one time he had too. Maybe he had such little notice that he didn't get the chance to get nervous

Male Trinity is hard to top, but I have to add to the mix Beechwood Lexington Christian 2008.

 

Also, a big one at least for me was NCC's run in 2006, and Danville's crazy collapse in that game. Don't think I'll ever forget that. For me though with the circumstances behind this game and everything else, this definitely deserves to be in the discussion with such mythical games, if not being THE mythical game. We'll see how we look at it a few years from now though, but definitely congrats to Collins. A very hard fought and deserved victory.

You are right. Biggest upset would probably fit better but I think the ending was the best finish no matter if it was an upset or not.

It is very nice seeing the folks who went to the game come back and be very gracious in defeat.

 

I know it's tough to lose but you handled it great. Some others who posted shortly after not so much.

I think the upset factor makes it the greatest championship game. Wish it wasn't.

Brohm vs Bush could be argued as the best football game ever regardless of level.

The Brohm vs Bush was a classic but both those teams were expected to make it a barn burner, this game however was supposed to be a blowout and from the start WaWa's anything but. Both teams played great and the finish only added to an already epic game.
