I think Highlands will be looking to keep it close and get a moral victory, if nothing else.

I think Lexington Catholic, at home, will possibly keep it a little closer than people think it might be, at least for awhile. In the end, Highlands is too talented and well-coached to be upset though.

This does have the makings of a classic trap game. LexCath a big underdog. At home. Cold weather forecasted. I think the coaching staff at Highlands has seen this recipe before, and know how to avoid the trap. Still, it's why they play the game.:ylsuper:

Anytime Highlands loses this is the case imo.

 

I for one hope it stays clean and injury free...way too much on the line for both teams, both Highlands and LexCath are elite schools within the state of KY and their student athletes and coaches should remember they represent their programs and themselves...:thumb:

 

I have no doubt that this game will not turn into the emotional mess as last yr. I believe both Coach Mueller and Coach Letton have way too much respect and class to allow such a debacle again...JMO

I believe the repetition of preparing each and every week throughout the season for another teams bid to topple the Birds is Highlands biggest advantage in the last 3 wks of each season against their opponents.

I think a huge advantage is the amount of game experience the Birds have. Seniors are approaching 60 games, including almost 20 playoff games.

Agree....this is the time of year where Highlands presses the gas pedal and doesnt stop until the ultimate goal is achieved.

Lexington Catholic is a very talented football team. Highlands needs to stay focused on the prize; another effort like the one they gave Friday against Covington Catholic is called for this coming Friday. Two years ago the game in Lexington turned on two huge kickoff returns for the Birds. We need that kind of effort again.
