Really surprised not to see Eastern on the top 25 list. Is Marion really that competitive with the departure of Epps and Rogers?

I know very little about girls basketball on a statewide level, but I wondered this very same thing.

Marion Co. went 39-0, while going 6 deep all year, of those 6, 4 graduated and went on to play d1 ball.

SK should be higher. Also I believe Notre Dame might be over ranked to start off the year. New coach and loss of their best player.......

Eastern is a top 10 team. Marion is not top 20.

I cannot give an informed opinion on Marion Co., but you are dead-on about Eastern. They are very good. Last year the 28th district was the toughest district, in the toughest region (7th) in the state. This year the same thing it may also be said.

Agree that Eastern should definitely be on this list and Marion County may be a little to high. We shall see.

Nice to see three Northern KY teams in the top 25 in Notre Dame, Simon Kenton and Newport Catholic. I agree that ND may be a bit too high to begin the season. They only lost their best player to graduation but she was a big part of their success. SK will be really good and should be the top team in the 8th region. I can definitley see them moving up in this poll. NC should be solid again this year with plenty of depth as they have everyone returning from last season. They should be one of the top teams in the 9th region and should also move up on this list.

I agree with you about Notre Dame. I also look for Conner to crack the Top 25 by the start of the New Year.

Eastern is the real deal, definitely underrated at this time. They are quick and athletic with two big time scorers in Jade Spaulding and Madison Raque.

Talked to an Anderson player dad this weekend. They scrimmaged one of the Bullitt Co schools, can't remember which one. Anyway, he said AC did not play well and definitely did not play like the #1 team in the state. Hopefully the pressure of having the #1 moniker on them won't be too much.

Bullitt East routed them. Wasnt even close. These coaches that do these polls arnt very smart.
