Team lost all it's juice vs Rutgers and had been flat ever since.

I've thought UL has looked flat all season. A couple of spurts here and there, but even before the Rutgers games they never seemed to be fully in-tune with the preseason billing.

I just dont like the pace of the offense. Would love to see Teddy in no huddle. We take too long and allow Defenses to get set. Our schedule would have never let us be in national title picture even if we were still undefeated. However, It would have been nice for Teddy to have a real Heisman chance. Could still be the first player taken in draft or at least first QB and wont be in NewYork. That says volumes about the offense. It killed any consideration for it.

^ It's boring. It's just boring football. Makes it almost not worth it to go to games. Play football that style and add in TV timeouts and it's amazing we're not all asleep in the stadium.

And when it's not boring, either the defense is on the field (good) or the kickoff team is (bad).

Coach Strong says he is not trying to provide entertainment but wins. (I believe I read this in a column by Eric Crawford on the WDRB site.)

I love Coach Strong, but that's just garbage. Houston had no business scoring 13 points and having a chance to win the game at the end of the 4th quarter against this team. The offense isn't just not entertaining--it's predictable, and not getting the job done.

I'm not just talking about the pass-to-run ratio. I'm talking about specific plays and down-and-distance tendencies, things my wife is pointing out from the stands. I recognize the problem with the line, but at some point they need to realize that they're trying to keep Teddy in a case that says "Break Only In Case of Emergency" and that just isn't going to cut it.

In fact, more likely than not Teddy will play behind a bad offensive line next year as well, facing much scarier defenses. Babying him isn't going to make that transition any easier.

:lol2: How?

Not really. Resembles who he's been from day one, in regards to bottom line messaging and publicly supporting his staff. The cover is just gossamer-thin in this case.

Also, the unit that Strong actually involves himself with (the defense) is playing very well. I don't think Strong can sleep-walk to holding Houston to 13 points, especially with the field position our special teams surrenders.

With the way they looked Saturday, UC will beat them. UC is a better defensive team than anyone else they've faced all season. That one is actually shaping up to be a heck of a game, which is not something I thought possible after watching Illinois destroy the Bearcats early this season.

^ Cincy was pretty rough to start the year. Now that Dec. 5 matchup is looking like the outstanding game we thought it would be when the season started.
