What can anyone tell us about Butler?

Walter mentioned that they'll be strong at corner and somewhat suspect on each side of the line of scrimmage. Anything else? Players to watch? What kind of offense/defense? What style of tempo do they play, and will that be adjusted for Simon Kenton?

From what I saw last night. They have strong corner and safety play. A couple good linebackers that are quick and will get in the backfield. They have a D1 receiver, #1. #1 plays some linebacker as well. QB is big and quick, and not afraid to run the ball. He has a cannon and the receivers, #1 and #4, that can go get it. You have to wrap the backs up, they hit and spin and stay on their feet. Their defense will hit you, HARD! They seemed pretty disciplined. They are quick and athletic.

That's my take on the Butler Bears.

Thanks. Sounds great. Do you know #1's name or anything about the schools recruiting him?

Can someone explain to me why SK has to travel? I am sure there is a reason but I just don't understand why they have to travel being undefeated and all. Butler did got 3-0 in there district to win it but SK went 4-0 to win there district. I would think that someway rankings would have to fall into it somehow.

In odd seasons the odd district holds home field, Butler is (odd), SK (even). What I'm not sure about is the semi finals. Khsaa shows the Butler/SK winner would play on the road. Central Hardin and Meade County are both from region (2) so if SK wins and they are also from and even (2) district, how is this decided?

Great question. Hopefully it's one we are still asking after next Friday night.

Their speed is phenomenal. Speed and athleticism make them a threat to take it to the house at any time on offense or defense. Their defense forces lots of TO's. Corners are fast but #42 LB stood out to me. Kid had a ton of tackles against the Camels. On offense, lots of playmakers. RB #2 great speed and elusive, Camels did a great job of containing him but he did rip off an 89 yard TD run. Lots of speed at WR, QB likes to throw it long and let them go get it. TOs and big plays is what you have to limit against them. :thumb:

How is parking at Butler?

How is parking at Butler?

Parking wasn't bad because they had very few fans there. Don't wear your best shoes either, it was a muddy mess getting from parking lot to the stands.

$2.00 for parking up close. All parking was good though.

I think there's a rotation between which region hosts in a given year.

You are correct.

Be careful in the stands. They are a joke. There are no aisles so you have to walk on the rows to get up higher. To say they were a hazard would be an understatement. We had several people fall.

The stands are a little suspect. You will need a runner to retrieve the dropped things.

I wouldn't expect anything less in the Ville. :D
