Most of know who Huntington Prep is. Not sure how it pertains to Cordia and the ones that have been ruled eligible to play for Cordia by KHSAA.

No argument from me...you have your opinion and yes, seems but for one the players have been ruled eligible at Cordia. However, you would have to agree that, should Cordia post a roster and where all their kids are from...it would look much more similar to what I posted above for HP than it would, say for Boyle or Anderson, or any of about 99% or more of the other high schools in KY.

 

With that said...just like last weekend when I went and watched HP play in Frankfort, if given the opportunity I will be in line to watch Cordia as well as I enjoy watching high school basketball and talented kids playing the game. The circumstances or my opinion of what's going on in this particular situation won't refrain me from watching good basketball and enjoying it.

Well...yeah...if...well I had something else typed out but I'm gonna bite my tongue and delete it. You are exactly correct in your statement that I have bolded above, but there's a huge caveat that goes with that, and I will leave it at that.

Maybe the KHSAA need ban the entire 14th Region - lol!

It sounds like the wild, wild, west down there.

 

The problem is that what is acceptable, and maybe necessary to be competitive in the 14th, isn't the norm for the rest of the state. It's getting that way, but in the majority of cases we take kids from our districts and go play with them.

 

Is it fair to those who have to compete with these beefed up teams in tournament events, or even the state tournament??? I agree with the poster who said that if places like Cordia want to become a basketball academy - fine and dandy - but then go play an independent schedule.

 

Cordia will play the 8th Region champ in the upcoming All "A" State Tournament. I'll gurarantee you that whoever comes out of the 8th "A" will have no such high profile transfers on their roster. While Cordia is indeed a very small school, as was Rose Hill and University Heights, because they possess big school talent that has moved in, they will win. How is that fair to the "A" Champs of the 8th Region???

 

Kinda takes away from what, in my opinion, is the whole point and beauty of the All A Classic. Which is an opportunity for schools will a smaller talent pool to compete for regional and state titles. Yes, I know it has never been perfect and there are lots of examples of transfers legitimate and otherwise throughout the state but the situation here is extreme whether the KHSAA approves or not.

I guess those rumors were true after all.

I don't know whether I get upset or just think that people are unaware of how there comments can be perceived. I have read a lot of post and it is amazing how people without authority are quick to place judgment on Cordia, the Kids attending Cordia and even the community in some cases. Even when most of the team is ruled eligible there is still complaint. I am so glad systems are in place or we would be hung off of the opinion of one. Come on the system is working; kids can play now we mad cause of what????? It can't be recruitment if they are eligible. LET IT GO!!!! Cordia play Saturday chose to support or not. I truly hope that the community actions are not representative of the comments made by many of you or they might be scared or realized they are in a worst place than where they came. You are adults and how would you feel if your kids were in positions of many of these kids. HOW WOULD YOU AS A PARENT FEEL??????? I have seen many kids move to accomplish their goals and dreams? I know many parents who have said if I could do it over I would have moved my child? I'm sure your kids are all perfect and you helped them all to achieve there goals and dreams without moving them. How many of your kids could have gotten a better opportunity if you had sent them out of state or out of district? Or does the angry/ frustration stem from angry for not having thought of it first.

 

All I am saying is it obvious many of you have no clue as to what you are talking about just making assumptions and running with them and feeding them to others; find the truth before making everyone guilty.

All I am saying is it obvious many of you have no clue as to what you are talking about just making assumptions and running with them and feeding them to others; find the truth before making everyone guilty.

????? Actually we did in fact have a clue, it's just that some were pumping their chest as they knew that Cordia was getting away with A LOT of stuff, at that time.
