Rand Paul will campaign in conservative areas with Mitch. Who's endorsement is much more important in Ky than Clinton.

I don't think Paul and McConnell like each other. Hence, if the two campaign like best buddies, thousands of tea party types will view this as an act of hypocrisy and not bother to vote a year from now.

Dems will vote for Mrs. Grimes, but will Tea Party types turn out to vote for Mitch in the general election? Besides rallying Dems, Bill Clinton has the star power to get the female voters (in Ft. Thomas, for instance) to take a closer look at the female Democratic candidate.

Bill Clinton will not get anyone to look to Grimes who already isn't planning to vote for her.

As for turnout, the candidates themselves and the issues are the only thing that's going to turn out voters, not who campaigned for them. Mitch will get democrats to turn out to vote a lot more than Clinton. He's is worst enemy.

Clinton didn't like Obama and even brought up racial issues during the campaign for the 2008 nomination. Didn't work out hurting Obama then and it won't hurt Mitch now. People expect hypocrisy in politics.

Disagree. Republican Lites -- suburban females mostly -- are looking for a reason not to vote for McConnell. Bill Clinton may goose them to do so. Also, if your reasoning is accurate, then Mrs. Grimes already has won the race, because she's slightly ahead in early polling.

I don't see this as an issues-driven race. It's more a referendum on McConnell. Mitch, on the other hand, will try to make this a referendum on Obama and the Affordable Care Act.

Exactly, he will certainly raise money but he's not going to generate votes.

In many cases, loads of money can generate votes by purchasing more ads on TV. Unfortunately too many voters are too lazy to research candidates themselves and slanted, half truth commericials are all the education they get.

Clinton will have zero effect on any republicans, lite or not. He's strictly a cash cow, nothing more. You are right that Mitch will tie Grimes to Obama and Hollywood which has been shown effective in the past.

True, the question is will she be able to outspend Mitch by enough to overcome everything else. Stay tuned.
