It's a two horse race in my opinion, Fant and Barker. Before the season I think it was hands down Barkers. Fant has put on a clinic on how to play the game and has to be the favorite at this point.

I remember last year all the hype the entire seAson about Quick and he deserved it too. He was awesome but I'd take Fant in a heartbeat over Quick anyday of the week.

 

Fant is incredible. I don't know who will win it but I like both players. Barker or Fant, can't go wrong with either.

Last year they didn't name Mr. Football till like 2 weeks after the state finals.

Do Houliston and Kuntz have better arguments today?

Kuntz will have the ability to add to his resume next week while Drew sits. Having Petrino at SK to watch him could send a message to voters that he's a big time player.

Can't speak for Kuntz, but Houliston absolutely mixes in. He dominated his second round opponent last evening with some incredible perfect throwing. I swear after resting a couple games from the elder game, he has come back even stronger. Seriously, he was scary good last night.

Can you imagine what Kuntz or Barker would do in the system at HHS? Would either make the fans in the Fort forget Houliston or the kid from last year? I think Kuntz or Barker are far more talented than McCoy or Houliston. Not a knock on Houliston, just the other guys are so advanced.

I guess Dale has a joystick and throws the ball perfectly for Houliston.:lol2: I will give Kuntz the legs part, but the arm part goes to Houliston ... The whole system thing gets a little old. Houliston is a great high school quarterback with an extremely high football IQ. Houliston had 245yds passing and 5tds in 2 quarters last night. I guess that is not bad when you are controlled by a joystick..:eek:

That answers a lot of questions on Conner. Actually just one. How does Conner lose with the caliber of player that Barker is? With the results from last night and for the sake of UK football, I hope it wasn't because of Barkers play.

Yep, been that way all year and nothing has changed it other than who pulls ahead at any one time. I think it's now Fant ahead, particularly if he goes off in the championship game.
