Do they ever when they don't play their best?

I'm as highlands as it gets but it makes me nervous and think it's borderline disrespectful to the opposing team when the starters come out in street clothes for the 2nd half. Would it really be that big of an inconvenience to stay in pads for the entire game? Sorry if I offended but it had bugged me for years.

 

It happened when my son played on the 96 state championship team and he said he was embarrassed when he went through the line to shake their hands after the game.
