What's The Worst Drink You Ever Had?

Featured Replies

I drink a fair amount of bourbon. Scotch, to me, is fairly similar. The taste is different, but if you drink bourbon or whiskey you can muscle through a scotch.

Next thing you know ya might like it.

I don't have any problem with the taste. If you drink bourbon, then it seems like it wouldn't be difficult to drink, which is why I asked Joker if that was his case. It's just not something I seek out or spend money on.

Tequila Sunrise. Bad in so many ways.

When I was going to Morehead, a group of us got loaded on Tequila Sunrises one night. I ended up with alcohol poisoning and I think the orange juice we were using was bad, too. I went to class the next day, but went to the school infirmary because I was so sick. The nurse sat me down in front of her and said, "Now what is the matter with you?" My answer was to Ralph right down the front of her uniform.

They kept me over night, gave me some drugs and such, and had me not go to class for a week.

That was the first time I got an invite to visit the Dean of Men. :D

To this day, I cannot drink anything red, like grenadine, without getting queazy.

I was at my brother-in-laws birthday party a few years ago. In honor of my father-in-law that had passed away, we decided to start drinking high balls. His mix of choice was Heaven Hill and Tab. I got sooo drunk and sooo sick, I can't even look at Tab any more. Thank goodness we don't see it if at all around where I live.

In Louisville for a friends birthday a few years ago. Ordered a round of 8 Jagerbombs. The bartender thought I said Jack bombs. Jack and red bull is not a combination I knew existed and wish I still didn't know existed.

And Tequila. I. Hate. Tequila.

Egg nog.

Even more disgusting is egg-nog with alcohol in it.

I can see where you are coming from with the taste because they are so similar in a lot of ways. I guess the difference for me was the way Scotch seemed to linger. I've literally had two shots of it in my life, but I sincerely wanted to throw up for like 10 minutes after the second one and thought, "huge waste, I'd have paid not to take this".

Yeah, egg nog is freakin' disgusting. I'm sorry, but whoever came up with the idea of mixing alcohol and dairy products needs to be drawn and quartered. Like a mint julep, egg nog is a waste of good bourbon.

Now, taking a shot of Scotch is not something I would enjoy. :lol2:

So I couldn't set you fellows up with a Pickleback?

I think I'd retch from the pickle juice alone. :lol2:

No chance I'm ever going to order a Coors Light Seasonal for myself. None.

I'm glad you quit drinking Tab but haven't given up on Vodka!

Get a decent bottle of Scotch & sip it on the rocks.

I bet it's not the last bottle you get.

Hahaha, thanks, maybe some day later when I'm feeling brave I'll try a sip.

I think Bourbon and Scotch translate well to each other. After the Thanksgiving Eve Jim Beam White Label incident back in the late '80s, I swore off Bourbon for several years and found myself enjoying Scotch quite regularly. That helped me transition back into Bourbon (but I won't touch Jim Beam white label again, other than as a cooking additive).
