October 17, 201312 yr I've got a "stock the bar" party next weekend for one of my friends that will be getting married in the next couple of months. Not only am I supposed to bring something to help stock the couple's bar...but I also was volunteered by the party's host to be the bartender for the night. So, let's here what the worst beer/wine/liquor you've ever had was, and maybe toss on a suggestion for a really hairy mixed drink or two.

In my younger days I had a reputation for being a guy with an iron gullet....but that stuff made me wretch, literally.

October 17, 201312 yr Author OK, on a side note, what a White Elephant party It's a party where you exchange "white elephant gifts". I have no idea where the name "white elephant" comes from, but the idea is that you give crappy presents or gag gifts away. Generally there's some kind of a maximum price limit on gifts. Fruitcake, an old pair of shoes, a bag full of soy sauce & mustard packets from Chinese take-out restaurants....those are the kinds of things you'll see given away. Stuff to make folks laugh.

October 17, 201312 yr I can't remember one that I just couldn't finish, but I don't drink that much. When I do drink it is the pretty standard, Merlot, some type of Lite Beer or Blue Moon, and bourbon or scotch on the rocks. Hardly ever drink at home. Don't go out there with exotics or something I don't know. I would've never even attempted Salmon Vodka.
October 17, 201312 yr I had a cocktail in a hipster kind of place in Baltimore that was pretty bad. I don't remember what all went into it, but I know it had bourbon and chocolate bitters. It tasted like the smell of a musty basement. I still drank it.

October 17, 201312 yr ^ I'd never drink anything Randy handed to me... though "Extra-Strength Laxative Martini" would probably shoot right to the top of the list of worst drinks I've ever had.

I went over to visit my wife in Wales couple of times while she was studying over there a couple years back. On two separate occasions in two separate bars I saw guys competing to see who could take down the most "flatliners". A flatliner is Sambuca, tequila, and Tobasco. Shock and awe.
