I don't believe that is true at all. Scruggs and Beal play no stronger of a schedule than Castleman, if that's your argument. If not, Castleman has had limited carries due to an aggravated wrist and margin of victory and still leads NKY in rushing yards(even after the bye week), as well as yards per carry! I would say it is a toss up between Harris and Castleman, it all depends on what you are looking for in a RB.

All in all, some very good football players in NKY.

I have seen Castleman play for years and he is as tough as they come. Like I said in my earlier post Harris and Castleman are the two best with Scruggs not far behind.:thumb:

WOW. Castleman gets no love. Castleman has more heart and toughness than any of those kids. I am not ranking by talent, but who is having the better year. If I were starting a team tomorrow Castleman would be my back. Not only is he tough but he also is a great receiver. Don't knock the kid until you see what he has done this year. He is by far a better all around Running back than both Scruggs and Beal, who are very good backs. It would be tough for me between Harris and Castleman. Harris is the benefactor of most teams playing a nickel or dime defense because of Houliston. Castleman is the focal point for the Eagles and every team has tried to stop him with 8 or 9 guys in the box. Albeit, all are very good players.

My argument is what I see with my own eyes. I like Castleman and he is having an outstanding year. I haven't seen a lot of him. But what I have seen of all the backs being discussed puts Castleman fourth out of the four being discussed. Show me more video evidence if you want to try and change my mind.

Glad to see Sutkamp from NewCath in there. He takes on blocks as good as you'll see. I will add that playing Wrobleski is the best sideline-to-sideline LB in NKY. He's playing a little freer role now and is like a man possessed. He reminds me of Nathan Lindeman in terms of instincts. Where Nate was able to time the snap to blitz like an animal, Wrobleski is able to read so well that he's out to any screen pass before anyone can get a hand on him. Great player.

I know Highlands runs 8 WR's out there in a platonning style but it is Highlands and there is no way you can convince me that all 8 WR's are the best in the area. Also there are other schools with deep WR corps such as Cooper uses 6 on a regular basis and have another 3 they could include. So do other schools.

Bascially QB and C etc. have 2 listed so 1 starter and 2nd as backup etc.

 

I put 4 WR's because you can look at it as 2 starters and 2 backups or reserves.

 

I'll give you names that I listed for Cooper and why they deserve the recognition in my opinion.

 

The 3 names I listed were:

 

CB Aaron Morgan, may be the best cover CB in the area if not one of the top in the state.

 

WR Fussinger, is among state leaders in receptions (40+) and 500+ yards receiving, already has single regular season records for the school previously set by A. Morgan last year with receptions in a season, yards in a season, most receptions in a game and most yards in a game and the season still has 3+ games to go.

 

Safety Kyle Henderson is one of the country's top tacklers. already has over 80 solo tackles and around 100 total tackles for the year thus far.
