Do others feel this way?

 

I have a hard time with this many points under any circumstance where the game is not competitive. I know we can all make the arguments about the other team being so bad, the winning team and players having a right to run their offense, etc. but it never sits well with me and I see I am not alone.

I don't like the "we have to run our offense mantra." I do like Bowling Green's program.

The game didn't change my thoughts about BG in any way shape or form. I still think they are a great team and have nothing to be ashamed of. I mean isn't LC averaging losing by something like 59 points a game or something unreal like that this year? So if they are losing by an avg of 50 points a game, what would be said if BG knelt on the ball after it was 36-0 and won with a final of 36-6, then there would be all kind of people on here saying BG isn't as good as advertised because there game against LC was the closest LC had this year etc.

 

Nah, no problem at all with BG's game.

I can't see how you score this many points with a runnin clock AND if you pull your starters after about a 30 point lead. I have seen many games where Mayfield may have a 30, 40, point lead at halftime, pull all their starters and win the game with a score of say,, 54 to 7 or something close to that. And yes the reserves were trying to score as was the other team taking their frustrations out on our underclass kids. So 90 points? That just seems to be questionable.

If a team is just totally out matched from top to bottom this can happen every once in a while.

FWIW, Starting QB threw eight touchdowns, so safe to say starters didn't come out until game was 56-3 or 63-3, somewhere in there.

Only way a beat down like this is acceptable is if its pay back. No reason for a score like this UNLESS your JV 2nd team runs it between the tackles and scores a boat load. Then it's out of coaches hands and I don't believe in taking a knee or telling kids not to play hard. Passing with JV 2nd team, up 50-60 points, unacceptable. IMO. Defensive TDs and between the tackle runs for TDs so be it.

Bowling Green just needs to keep on keeping on. I think they have a respectable program and have never been seen as a bully program.

They don't hand out trophies for being likable anyways. If I was a fan of a different school in 5A I wouldn't like BG either. :lol:

If anything I have always felt like Kevin Wallace calls off the dogs too early.

A defensive TD and 2 rushing TDs in the second half. 4 Tds total. LC looks like they were still slinging it in the second half w/ a 71 yard TD pass. LC's coach didn't care, why does everyone else?
