I like BG. While I do think they could have pulled starters at the end of the first or early in the 2nd. They did sub to JV and Frosh and they still scored.

So it's all about the coach and nothing to do with the kids?

 

Of course not.

There are just times when a game is so mismatched that this will happen. Believe me, Trinity's been in the same position more times than I can remember (Not 90 points, but 60's at least). And while it doesn't win friends, I don't really know what a team that is significantly better than another is supposed to do. There's almost nothing you can do as a team except not play your starters any significant time. But what does that do for the team the next game? Or later in the season. The starters need to play at least till half time, and IMO, at least a couple of series in the 3rd to gain the experience of 2nd half beginnings (for lack of a better way to describe it). I hate to be harsh, but it's not a great team's responsibility to stop scoring. No matter who they are, that job is the job of the opponent.

 

These kinds of games are EXACTLY why I'd rather Trinity play the schedule they do now than fill it with teams they'd beat in a fashion similar to this resut by Bowling Green. So, haters, this is Exhibit A of why some Trinity fans don't want to schedule only Kentucky teams.
