Paul and McConnell

Featured Replies

I thought the two were at loggerheads.

Not when there's a government to close down.

Is this a big deal?
Not really . Everyone knows how they think or now they do . Just thought it was interesting and worthy of being posted .

I had the volume all the way up and couldn't make out a thing either said...:idunno:

It's interesting because I never know how much they actually like each other. But I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing.

Not sure about Paul but McConnell never moves his lips. He always seems to be in the middle of a ventriloquist act.

PAUL: I just keep going over and over again - 'We are willing to compromise. We are willing to negotiate.' I don't think they poll tested 'we won't negotiate'. That is awful to say that over and over again.

MCCONNELL: Yeah, I do to. And I just came back from a two hour meeting with them. And that is the same view privately as it is publicly.

PAUL: If we keep saying we were willing to defund it, we fought for that, but now we are will to compromise on this. I think.....[stops]...we are going to win this......well, I know we do not want to be here, but we are going to win this I think.

I'm more than ready for McConnell to be put out to pasture. There should be limits on how long senators and congressmen can serve(i.e. get rich at the public's expense)

I am not sure what 'win' is in their conversation.

I believe it is to get a delay in the individual mandate.

Heard the clip today and I've also heard several interviews that Paul has given. Paul said absolutely nothing in the "gotcha" clip that he hasn't said when he's full aware that he's being heard. The only reason that more people wouldn't be aware of that is because the mainstream media hasn't covered it.

I think so too. That seems to be the major point of contention. Getting the mandate delayed would give them a chance to make a genuine promise to voters that if they can gain a large enough control in the Senate that they can actually repeal the mandate.

Wasn't a Gotcha clip because there wasn't a gotcha to get .
