October 4, 201312 yr I'm raising kids, not raising grass. I cut it when it's convenient and not a moment before. Sometimes that's early in the day and sometimes it's as the sun is going down. I'd put field turf in immediately if I could afford it. Believe it or not my brother did this exact thing, "epitome of laziness" if you ask me. :ohbrother: TAC can vouch for me...he's been there.

Greenist lawn in all of Bellevue especially in the winter. He also has a couple of monster dogs that go doo doo on the turf. He says he picks it up and hoses it off---no worries.
October 5, 201312 yr By the way, I am "that guy", I once cut my yard at 10:00 at night under flood lights when I lived in Southgate. The old bags behind me called the cops. I worked retail and rain, activities, etc prevented me from cutting at a better time. I'm sure the old bags would have called the police for the grass being too long if I had waited another day.
October 5, 201312 yr I don't have the time typically to mow the lawn after work on weekdays, so I tend to cut either Saturday or Sunday morning. What's the appropriate time to fire up the mower? I typically try to wait until after 10 am, to try and be considerate of the neighbors, but after having a conversation with some co-workers, I'm starting to think maybe I should push back my start time....What say you BGP? Anytime after 10am
