October 2, 201312 yr I don't have the time typically to mow the lawn after work on weekdays, so I tend to cut either Saturday or Sunday morning. What's the appropriate time to fire up the mower? I typically try to wait until after 10 am, to try and be considerate of the neighbors, but after having a conversation with some co-workers, I'm starting to think maybe I should push back my start time....What say you BGP?

Saturday 9 am. Sunday 10 am. IMO.

October 2, 201312 yr Author Seems to me the grass never gets dry enough until 11 or 12. Typically by 10 am, it's not a factor where I'm at. There have been a few instances, where in hindsight, I probably should've waited another 30-45 minutes to start though.
October 2, 201312 yr Unless you have had complaints by neighbors, I say continue doing what you're doing. I agree with TheDeuce - 9am on Saturday and 10am on Sunday is more than acceptable to me.
October 2, 201312 yr I thought Guru researched this topic a year or two ago. Ru? Ahhh, I think I remember now. He was complaining about his neighbor cutting grass extremely early on a Saturday and threw out the question, when is it too early to mow grass.........I think.
October 2, 201312 yr If 1am party noise is OK for my neighbors to do, my 7 or 8am yard work noise should be equally acceptable.
