Houliston is one of the most accurate high school quarterbacks that I have ever seen. Houliston is a great hs qb. He is to small and slow to play D1 football. Drew is extremely calm under pressure and doesn't get rattled. The kid is an absolute stud at the hs level....:ylsuper:

I'm not saying you're wrong, just saying that D1 coaches like Spurrier don't see that same talent, or that Elite 11 evaluators don't either. When Houliston gets the accolades that Barker has, I'll change my mind.

Those coaches see things in Barker that they don't see in Houliston because he is more capable of performing against better competition.

Again you go to the college potential, but were talking about their high school performance. You want to talk college prospects, your talking potential. It does not take Spurrier or Stoops, or the eliete 11 staff to see potential in Barker. We all see it. The kid has the potential to be a great college QB. But remember, these are the same people who saw Zeke Pike and fell all over themselves trying to recruit him. The elite 11 staff watched Pike and Towles side by side and deemed Pike the better QB just prior to their senior seasons. Just how did that pan out over the next few months? It meant nothing because they were judging on measurables and potential, not high school performance. Those same evaluations of measurables and potential are what led NFL teams to select 198 players, including Spurgon Wynn out out of S.W. TX who was deemed to have more talent and potential, before N.E. selected Tom Brady.

They were soooo impressed and mentioned it as a reason that he was moving up the rankings. And those who really knew Pike knew that he would study in a place that everybody would notice. Format much different this year. Two days of pressure packed 7 on performance determined the final standings. That was never a component in previous Elite 11 competitions. It was a great change. The QB's were throwing against the best defensive players in the country.
