MHSCardinal
JC has a heck of a ball club this year. They may well be Highlands biggest challenge from the east side of the bracket this year.
Anvil Head
This game had a running clock with 11:19 left in the second quarter.
Watusi
From the highlights on WYMT it looked like Harlan Co fumbled in its first several possessions and Johnson Central capitalized.

Maximus73
:taz:JC played very aggressive and put the punishment to HC wich caused a lot of the fumbles and mistakes. I love to watch this team play, they are well rounded with speed, size and play with Dick Butcis attitude. Go Eagles

Commander 25
This one doesn't shock me. JC is just that good.
JC Alumni 76
JC's first 2 scoring drives where 98 and 99 yds respectively each just taking 3 plays each. Seemed like from that point on Harlan Co. had the air out of their sails. They then had 2 quick fumbles in JC territory that resulted in quick scores. After JC got the running clock in the 2nd quarter they started subbing portions of the offensive and defensive squads but never the entire units. Surprised more by Harlan Co. than anything, they have great size across the whole team but lack team speed and for me this was the big difference between the two teams. endzone 2
If JC is a head hunter team , just the kind of team Highlands don't want to face. Good win
JC Alumni 76
If JC is a head hunter team , just the kind of team Highlands don't want to face. Good win I wouldn't necessarily say that but they r a physical defensive unit. It's no secret that highlands year in and year out is gonna usually have the best athletes on the field and that the only reason JC has been able to make some of their matchups with highlands a game is because of their physical play. JC ground attack keep their potent offense on the sideline which keep the game manageable.. I don't believe this defense is as good as the team he had that was beat by Cov Cath in the semifinals while in 3A but they r close. Hopefully if these two teams meet it can be as entertaining as that 21-14 game a few years back.. But theirs a lot of football to be played between now and then. ATLCat
JC, IMHO, is the 2nd best team in 4A now that CovCath has lost their QB. Competing with Highlands is a tall task, but there have been several people say this is the best team Matney has had and based on the way Highlands looked vulnerable against John Hardin and a 2nd tier 3A Paducah Tilghman... there is a window for JC to at least make it close.
