go to Settings - General - Background App Refresh - switch it to OFF

Battery life seems to be a little better. I'll have to charge it overnight and see how long it lasts tomorrow.

I have an iphone 5 and upgraded, love it so far and am used to it enough that the little things that originally bothered me (like the white scheme) I am used to now and I have no negatives about it.

 

My wife has a iphone 4s and she upgraded and after she did she started getting an overheating warning. She said the phone used to get really hot in the past but it never gave a warning. She called the Apple Support folks and they said it may be a new thing with the ios7 that it now gives a warning for that sooner than it did with the older verion of os. Anyway, reading on line about the issue it seemed it was a pretty big issue with iphone 4's and especially with white iphone 4's. Some of the things I read online was that Apple would replace the iphone no questions asked. We wondered about this and that is why she called apple support. She got her phone from her work so she didn't know if it was still under warranty. she got it last September.

 

Anyway, the Apple support guy made a appointment for her at the Apple store in Kenwood Mall and told her to take it in and they would see if they could find out what was wrong. He also told her that her Hardware Warranty was going to expire in 5 days.....long story short, Apple store replaced her phone and gave her a new phone with no questions asked. so kudos for Apple!!!!! We were lucky that it still had 5 days left on the warranty. If she wouldn't of upgraded to os7 when she did she may be stuck with a defective phone.

i hope not! Years ago, about 7, I was a Palm Trio fan, well kind of. I kept waiting for them to fix certain functions and improve, they never did! And it's the reason I won't wait for anyone to fix minor issues anymore, you wait, wait, and wait, with no progress.

have had that off the first day and still doesn't help. I have been out eating since noon and just using this off and on and here an hour later I'm sitting on. 84%. Pre ios7 I would be sitting on 96% or higher.

I think I'm seeing a slight improvement. Nothing major. I also Googled a few different ways to save battery life. Not sure if those have helped.
