You like to dismiss all his successes as being part of a team and then say all his failures are on him and have nothing to do with the team. Eli has been below average this year. Doesn't change the fact that he's been one of the best in the NFL over the past few years. By one of the best I mean around top 5. Actually you like to dismiss his avg to below avg play with SB trophies as if that wipes away everything else no matter what. You probably think he's a HOF QB.

Did the win Super Bowl mvp trophies? Did they win one with a terrible defense and break records for most 4th quarter TD passes in a season? Also I disagree with you. I think the Ravens would have won the Super Bowl with almost any serviceable QB. They had one of the best defenses I can remember. The Bucs had a pretty outstanding d as well.

So, I think Eli's impact was greater than those two guys were for their teams' championships.

Eli didn't lead squat. Eli had a good SB game, but it wasn't because of him they got there.

October 9, 201312 yr I have never seen Eli as a top echelon QB, but more in the Big Ben, Flacco, etc. type discussion outside of the ELItes of the league. If you're argument is that he is not one of the top QBs, then fine. But to make statements saying Jarod Lorenzen could have done the same is flat out asinine. Eli has shown to be underwhelming often times, but has also proved to be one of the better QBs in big games to supplant a lot of the stats.
