Eli Manning...I don't get it

Featured Replies

I think that is the biggest misconception of them all when it comes to Eli. Eli didn't lead squat. Eli had a good SB game' date=' but it wasn't because of him they got there.[/quote']

Again you prove your ignorance. You have no clue what you are talking about.

Look up his play off stats from both years. Also look up his 4th quarter stats in 2011. Without Eli the Giants wouldn't have made the playoffs in 2011. He broke the record for most 4th qtr TD passes in a season and led them to SEVERAL 4th quarter comeback wins.

I have never seen Eli as a top echelon QB' date=' but more in the Big Ben, Flacco, etc. type discussion outside of the ELItes of the league. If you're argument is that he is not one of the top QBs, then fine. But to make statements saying Jarod Lorenzen could have done the same is flat out asinine. Eli has shown to be underwhelming often times, but has also proved to be one of the better QBs in big games to supplant a lot of the stats.[/quote']

To talk about the areas where he appears average and completely dismiss his success in other areas is ridiculous as well.

Yet this guy still thinks Tony Romo is a great QB :lol2: only because he has better stats than Eli.

I'm sorry, but the name of the game is to win Super Bowls. Eli Manning is better at that than any QB in the game other than Tom Brady and Big Ben. I could care less what his numbers look like. At the end of the day it's all about winning, and Eli does that better than most. He's not elite, but he's certainly in the top 10-12 QBs in the league.

Tom Brady

Big Ben

Andrew Luck

Peyton Manning

Aaron Rodgers

Matt Ryan

Drew Brees

Russell Wilson

Those are the only QBs I'd take over Eli right now in the regular season. Only Brady and Big Ben in the postseason.

In the post season it would even be close between him and Roethlisberger and Brady IMO since he's beat the Pats twice. Regardless I agree with most of what you said.

Pick 6 Eli....yep I'd only take about 5 QB's in the league over Eli.....lol

He is so bad. I just turned the game on just in time to see him throw a pick 6. I'd take Tim Tebow over eli right now. 2 Int's in the game already and it's only the first 5 mins of the 1st qtr lol.

No one cares who you would take over Eli.

I'll take the two Super Bowls he's won for my team. How many your QB got your team?

My son won a Super Bowl...just sayin

Eli has hit 7-7 with a TD in his last 7 passes.

It's about time. Now all he has to do is throw 30 more TD's with no int's this year to be respectable.
