Barker hits his receiver in the middle of the field for about 15 yards and NO time runs off the clock. The clock didn't start until the second play of their drive. That's what had me irked. I wasn't paying attention closely to the clock but it did seem like not much time went off on a completed pass inbounds and no timeout was called.

Not much to add that hasn't been said. Simon Kenton is the better squad. Both lines were dominant, Powell made some great plays, and Kuntz is a really good Quarterback.

 

First time seeing Barker and he did not disappoint. Kid has some kind of an arm and is accurate as well. A lot of drops by the receivers hurt the Cougars.

 

Very much enjoyed taking this one in with Clizzy. He even bought me some nachos and a water.

I don't think those posts at Conner would hold up his sons' weight. Those are the oddest set of goal posts I've seen and they need some paint to be slapped on them.

I really never felt comfortable down the stretch, the 14 point lead was a nice cushion but it didn't last long. It seemed like each team was scoring every other drive, then midway thru the 4th quarter SK had I believe three straight drives stopped by the Cougar defense.

 

 

SK's big boys up front carved some nice holes the second Powell TD was sweet with a few biggin's puling out front. I came away very impressed with Barker, he's one strong kid. At this point he seems to throw everything with velocity, I really felt for his WRs on a few of those ropes.

What was funny and I mentioned this in the update thread. The refs really botched a couple of spots right in front of the SK fan section. On the prior SK possession a wr caught a pass just passed the 35 and got tackled as he stepped UPFIELD. The spot was called all the way across the field and spotted a yard behind the 35. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

 

So then Conner kicks it out of bounds and before they even made the call I asked how they could possibly screw up this spot of the ball as well. They got me good on that one.

This picture exemplifies the problem for Conner tonight. Drew had a lot of passes thrown off the run due to pressure.

How good is #7 for SK? He certainly looks the part and about decapitated the kick returner for Conner.

He stood out to me as well. Certainly played aggressive and like you said, looks the part.

#7 Hicks 210 pound first year starter he is good though so is Deaton #45.
