Ole Miss 39 Vanderbilt 35

Crazy, crazy game.

Nice start to the college football season! :thumb:

Crazy ending but man Vandy is inconsistent.

Should Matthews have come back into the game for a 2nd time (cramps?, hit that left him vomiting)?

Missed last nine minutes of the game.

I fell asleep at 12:15 with the score 24-21 Vandy sorry I missed the rest!

What a game to get the season going, that 4th quarter was sick.

Big Freshman D lineman for Ole Miss looks to be a stud!

Most exciting game I've ever been at as far as drama goes great win to start the year!

That's one of those games that really shifts the bowl perspective for each team. They both run that SEC gauntlet.

That's one of those games between relatively even opponents that you love to grab in-conference. Just a great feeling to win a game like that.

In Vandy's case, I see about five sure-fire wins. That one could end up being the difference between bowl and no bowl.

You missed a great ending.

I watched the second half, it had me on the edge of my pillow. Great finish!!!

What'd you think of Matthews vomiting (possibly/likely concussion) then being put back in the game?

I agree with others here that this was a good football game and an great start to a football season. That receiver for Vandy is a good one, he literally left all he had out on the field. I love to see players with that kind of effort, regardless of the team or game. That kind of effort and excitement is what separates college sports (any of them) from the pros. I would rather watch any college sport compared to the same professional sport.

A question was bought up above about Matthews coming back in the game. I would think, certainly hope that Vandy's medical staff did a check/test for signs of concussion and cleared him to go back in. I don't think that they would have allowed it if they had any suspicion of concussion, especially with all the emphasis on head injuries today. That's jmo though.

Concussion aside him coming back and catching the 4th and 18 first down pass was off the hook, loved it.
