September 11, 201313 yr Just give this staff a couple of years and see what happens at MSU......every coach has to have a little time to get things going with a system....couple of transfers sitting out this year that can flat play....thay would be a quarterback and a wide out......a little time please and we shall see...... It's not about the product and the players, its his personality and how he's handled everything thus far.

What do you mean needs time with a system? "His" system was already there unless he's had to put in a new offense.
September 12, 201313 yr IMO,anyone who has been around MSU football in any capacity knows that Coach Ballard called the offense. The OC was basically a title and a position coach. Tenyer rode that out to a job, he had to be undermining Coach Ballard and company for a bit.

September 12, 201313 yr It's not about the product and the players, its his personality and how he's handled everything thus far. Matt Ballard was a first class individual. Can't say the same thing for Tenyer. In the end, you get what you give and Tenyer will get his. No way he should have fired all of those guys and did what he did to get Ballard fired.

I do for sure have my doubts on any man who is the only returner among the staff of fired coaches. But could be it all makes full circle for both these fellows.

Wow, now you are transparent and just making excuses. If it was not his offensive success he claimed then on what basis was he hired over Chuck Smith?

If it was not his offensive success he claimed then on what basis was he hired over Chuck Smith? What has Chuck Smith accomplished at the collegiate level? Linebacker coach was given to him just so he could have a job.....as a recruiter he was very ineffective so why should he have gotten the job over Tenyer?
September 12, 201313 yr Danny Trevathan: Wesley Woodyard: Denver Broncos, you might want want to check that out. Plus you still haven't answered the direct question I asked you. Changing the subject is a logical red herring and makes it seem like you don't have an answer.

Changing the subject is a logical red herring and makes it seem like you don't have an answer.I could have coached those guys you mentioned at the linebacker position.....Smith had nothing to do with those guys playing on Sunday......bottom line is that Tenyer has a much better offensive mind than Smith and MSU has made a very good hire and it will be proven in time.....
