They have a new coach and seem inspired, I hope it's a great year for the Eagles.

There's a lot of buzz around MSU land for sure. Hoping it's a great year for the Eagles.

I liked the old coach just fine. The administration? not so much.

What a horrible situation to be in. An AD with a mandate to win football games in a program with no schollys and horrible facilities.

I'm wondering, and I don't mean this to be combative, do you know any of the administration at MSU? The AD? Do you know any of the details of what they are dealing with there?

I have close ties to the Athletic Department at MSU.

I know Pikeville has Ex-Marshall starting QB, which was Mr. Florida, and a 4 star WR transfer from Tennessee. I hope the Eagles can contain those two. I watched Gramm beat a few teams in conference USA basically by himself. If the defensive line can get to him, we will be alright. Go Eagles!

What's game day like at Morehead?

I've never been there, I'm curious and I'm considering talking a few friends from college into heading there for the Dayton/Morehead game on October 26. There was a time I followed UD football pretty closely and now that the rules have changed and the league champion gets a bid to the I-AA playoffs, the Pioneer has suddenly become a lot more compelling.

Losing at home to Upike at the moment. 7-0.

Anybody know how the game turned out Saturday? Not so impressed with the new staff.

Any assistant coach that has a hand in his boss leaving or getting shown the door and is turned around and hired.....Morehead is getting what they deserve.....

Got beat like they stole something....67-13.

You know, it's one thing for a head coach to be fired and an assistant to get hired but for that same guy to turn around and fire all the other coaches says all I need to know. I hate it for the players but can't help but smile.

Agreed. I hate it for my alma mater because it's not fair to the fans, faculty, and players to have to put up with this. But after hearing about the way things went down and the assistant coach then firing all the coaches just makes him disgusting and makes the athletic department look bad as well for hiring him.

I would about guarantee he doesn't come back next season.

Been said before, but it sounds like he's getting what he deserves. Feel bad for the kids. Last I heard the new coach wouldn't even recruit the same kids the former coaches were interested in.

Just give this staff a couple of years and see what happens at MSU......every coach has to have a little time to get things going with a system....couple of transfers sitting out this year that can flat play....thay would be a quarterback and a wide out......a little time please and we shall see......
