If there are 2 outs and a runner on second base I don't want any of the Reds up:

 

Choo - if it is a lefty auto out

Frasier- if the pitcher can throw off the plate auto out

Votto- walk or auto out (remember two outs runner in scoring position)

Phillips - might be hitting .250 by the end of the year and might be your best shot

Bruce- well if he isn't on a tear auto out

Left fielder of the day- Sad that Ludwick sat around eating Cheetos for 5 months and might be your best shot

Catcher of the day- Well at least they make contact so maybe a bloop 2 out of 10 times

And I answered Phillips given the 3 options you listed. Needing a hit and a hit only ignoring righty/lefty match ups I would want the guy with the 2nd highest AVG among every day players.

I answered very clearly. Then I presented another scenario. You do realize that if you need a hit and you're hitting in front of Votto getting on any way necessary is the best we can hope for as fans? Votto is the best hitter in the NL this year and for at least the last few years. If you get on when needing a hit but not by a hit that isn't a terrible thing.
