Is it possible that it was a situation scrimmage that had teams starting drives from different designated spots on the field? Maybe start a few drives from your 20, a few from midfield, and maybe a few in the red zone, just to simulate some different situations?

I would like to hear more because with no other details 88 is way too many Coach.

I'll give you some of the details. This scrimmage was not as bad as advertised, The score wasn't even kept. We had lots of 2's and 3's playing early into the first quarter for us. From the second series on with 2's and 3's playing entire second and third quarters on defense, Varsity score was more along the line 32-16 Morgan or somewhere in that range. Our 1's as a whole only played a couple possessions on O and D. We used it as a practice situation for us nothing more. Nothing classless or distasteful from Morgan Co. coaches. I am guessing 88 is coming from some embellishing fans.

Yeah...fans do have the tendency to embellish. Glad it didn't get out of hand as advertised.

Morgan Co should have a decent year. They return 8 starters on both sides of the ball.

Still not sure the thought process from Morgan County nonetheless.

 

With all due respect to Bracken County... Morgan has their best chance and maybe their only chance to compete for the District Championship over Breathitt County this season. Secondarily, 3A District 8 appears to be much stronger making that 1 seed all the more important. As a one seed you stay clear of Belfry until the Regional Finals (where they come to your place) and host the 2nd Round game... a 2 seed and you basically have a Death Sentence heading to CAM in Round 2..IF you can survive a 3 seed in the First Round. If I were Morgan I would be doing everything I could in my scrimmages and my non-district schedule to best prepare me for Breathitt County and secondarily the District 8 teams I will face. Bracken County is not anywhere near the level of Breathitt, Belfry, Lawrence County, or even a Pike Central. Their non-district schedule obviously is weak as well.. the best team on their slate is Pike Central (which makes no sense in itself considering you may see that team in Round 1).
