It is bad, but there is also maximum effort in NFL preseason games which none of the other sports can say. Guys are literally fighting for a job.

Yeah, it's awesome watching guys I haven't heard of fight for their right to be on special teams.

I think before fantasy football, preseason was more important to the fans. Now, it doesn't mean much because their "leagues" haven't started. Ha.

That's a large part of it. I also want to watch people that I recognize. Backups playing a majority of a game is still a different level of football. It's borderline mediocre.

Now I didn't say it was awesome. Still a poor product.

I like spring training over the NFL preseason.

I doubt max effort but football is also higher paced than the NBA and MLB. Guys can jog it out or walk up the court, hard to walk around when you're handed the football.

Spring training is a 45 day vacation. Awesome for fans in attendance and really cool.

Also there is nowhere else to go for these guys fighting for the final roster spots. Not as if they go to AAA Scranton or to the Birmingham Vipers. They are done. It is what makes hard knocks so compelling, it is like a reality game show.

Oh no, I mean I understand that they have a lot more to fight for but I believe that anyone fighting for a roster sport, regardless of sport, plays their hardest. Outside of the practice squad there is nothing out there for NFL guys who don't make the cut.

I agree.

Highway robbery that NFL owners includes 2 preseason games in season ticket packages and make people pay full price for those tickets.

Quite ridiculous to watch 4th string players and people who won't ever play in the nfl durin a real game.

Won't change until people stop paying for te tickets though.

I too am not much on preseason but I am a Dolfan so I watched and my Fins, for the most part looked terrible. Offense was really bad

As a Cowboys fan I am cautiously optimistic about this season. I certainly like the change of Callahan calling plays instead of Garrett and I'm warming up to the move to the 4-3. Kiffin and Marinelli are a great defensive tag team so I expect some nice things out of the D. I was questioning the move at first because it didn't seem like the front office put enough time into trying to get more personell to make the switch, but if the main guys stay healthy the defense should be in for a solid year. They looked good last year until injuries tore them apart, I just hope they can dodge that bullet this year. They are paper thin on the D-Line so if they can avoid the injury bug the move to the 4-3 Tampa 2 may pay off. I think Sean Lee will be the perfect 4-3 middle backer, and Bruce Carter should also be able to do big things playing out wide. If they can sure up the safety spots, this may be a Top 10 defense.

I was going to say the same thing. The NFL preseason is by far the worst preseason.

Unwatchable. I'd rather watch a spring training baseball game.

A small part of the reason I gave up my tickets. 20% of the money I was spending was literally a waste.
