July 11, 201313 yr If we're only looking at them while they were a Red: 1B: Tony (slightly over JV) 2B: Joe SS: Barry Larkin 3B: Pete LF: Adam Dunn (avg 37 HR/89 RBI/80 runs in his 7 full-time season) CF: Eric the Red RF: Frank Robinson C: Bench Griffey simply didn't have the numbers as a Red. I agree with this except I'd take Foster over the donkey.
July 11, 201313 yr I agree with this except I'd take Foster over the donkey. Gots no problem with that argument. He's a legit option.
July 11, 201313 yr 1. Eric Davis LF 2. Joe Morgan 2B 3. Frank Robinson RF 4. Johnny Bench C 5. Ken Griffey Jr. CF 6. Joey Votto 1B 7. Pete Rose 3B 8. Barry Larkin SS That lineup probably averages 10 runs a game. Who do you pitch to? Speed, defense, avg., OBP, Power
July 11, 201313 yr Gots no problem with that argument. He's a legit option. No chance I'd take the Reds-Griffey over ED.

I'd go with this group except taking Votto over Perez. I haven't checked, but I'd bet Dunn's numbers are much better than Foster's. Also, all-time lefty HR guy needs a spot. He'll DH when we play at any all-time AL team.

July 11, 201313 yr Closer than you think between Jr and ED, problem was that Jr was so Great with the Mariners that by comparison he looks bad as a RedYou're right, hard to say someone is wrong with either.
July 11, 201313 yr Just checked, closer than I thought. Dunn in 8 years: 270 bombs, 646 RBI, 678 runs, OBPS of .900. Foster in 11 years: 244 bombs, 861 RBI, 680 runs, OBPS of .870.
July 11, 201313 yr Closer than you think between Jr and ED, problem was that Jr was so Great with the Mariners that by comparison he looks bad as a Red Close, you're right. Bad thing is both Eric the Red and Cincy Junior were unable to stay healthy.

July 11, 201313 yr Closer than you think between Jr and ED, problem was that Jr was so Great with the Mariners that by comparison he looks bad as a Red Eric was much better defensively than the Reds version of Griffey.

July 11, 201313 yr Author Eric was much better defensively than the Reds version of Griffey. I don't know, Jr was still a prime defender when he was with the Reds, until he was injured in the last few years. Again Jr's high was so high it makes his time with the Reds look average, when he in fact when healthy still played very well. But either one would be fine with me, I loved ED when he was a Red also. He was my favorite Red when he was here.
