July 4, 201313 yr One of the final 11, great honor! Was one of the best QB's all week at Nike's "The Opening", so way to make BBN proud! 2013 Elite 11 quarterbacks announced; Sean White named MVP - ESPN
July 4, 201313 yr Love that he got into the elite 11, but personally I hate this thing. Zeke Pike was in the elite 11, 2 years ago and we see how that has turned out.

July 4, 201313 yr Aaron Hernandez got arrested. Should we stop playing football games? It wasnt about the personal side at all! It was that hes not even a QB anymore and yet he was in the elite 11
July 5, 201313 yr Author Yeah but arguably the best QBs and ones who eventually make it to be NFL starters usually come through the elite 11. Still a big honor IMO. Anytime you can lay claim to being one of the top eleven QBs in the country when hundreds have tried out in open competition that's a pretty big deal.
July 6, 201313 yr It wasnt about the personal side at all! It was that hes not even a QB anymore and yet he was in the elite 11 Is he even a football player any more, for long?
July 6, 201313 yr It wasnt about the personal side at all! It was that hes not even a QB anymore and yet he was in the elite 11 Yet most of the NFL starting QB's were once a part of the elite 11. Your getting hung up on one guy who made the elite 11 who didn't even come close to panning out, and making your mind up on the elite 11 not being a big deal. QB's who are starting NFL QB's have been in the elite 11, good college football QB's have made the elite 11. More times than not making the elite 11 means a good thing and is good thing to use to judge on how good someone will be. Obviously Pike was a huge exception to that. No more no less.
July 6, 201313 yr Don't think most people realize what the process involves. It's a great accomplishment for a QB. Most, if not every high school QB in the nation strives to make it into this fraternity. Many have gone on to the NFL, but there is no guarantee. You have to get "life" right before football. Some guys do and some don't. The ones that do go on and leave the ones that don't behind. Only 3 QB's from KY have made it to the 11. All under different formats.

July 7, 201313 yr Kentucky Sports Radio » Blog Archive » Elite 11: Projecting Success? Pretty much nailed my thoughts No one says that if you make it you're going to be "successful." However, like past years somewhere down the road there will be NFL QBs come from this group. Might be one or two but it will happen.
July 7, 201313 yr Saw on Twitter that Teddy Bridgewater told Drew Barker at the E11 Camp he hopes they turn things around at UK, because it would be good for the state. Classy guy, that Teddy.

If it's true DeMarcus Smith made it then it's actually 4. Smith, Woodson, Pike, and Drew.
