July 7, 201313 yr It's a heck of an accomplishment don't get me wrong. I don't think you can predicate success off of this competition though.
July 7, 201313 yr If it's true DeMarcus Smith made it then it's actually 4. Smith, Woodson, Pike, and Drew. You can add in that Patrick Towles made it to the Elite 11 camp (final 24) but wasn't named in the final Elite 11.

July 7, 201313 yr You can add in that Patrick Towles made it to the Elite 11 camp (final 24) but wasn't named in the final Elite 11. This year, they only took 18 to the camp. That was from nearly 1K tryouts.

July 7, 201313 yr Correct. Smith made it in 2010. Where did he play HS ball? Seneca? Somewhere in Louisville.
August 21, 201313 yr First E11 show is on Sunday night at 8:00 on ESPN. I only saw one episode and they said nothing about Barker. How many episodes were aired and did they even mention him?
August 21, 201313 yr I only saw one episode and they said nothing about Barker. How many episodes were aired and did they even mention him? Different format this year that shortened it to one hour which was not near enough time to properly show the grueling competition. They also did not mention; Jerrod Heard, Brad Kaaya, KJ Karta-Samuels, Kyle Allen or Luke Rubenzer. All of those guys made the Elite 11, yet no mention of them either. Manny Wilkins got a lot of air time and the kid did not even make it. However, for those that watched, we did find out Coach Dilfer's anniversary date. I think each kid that made the Elite 11 should of at minimum got a mention of some sort or when Dilfer told each one they had made it at the end. That was really cool and it's to bad it got cut.
