What's to prove? Do you deny that those players I mentioned didn't come up through the Scott Cry middle school system? Do you believe these players just happen to show up for open gym? Go back and read my first statement and you just proved what I said by calling me a hater. As the old cop said in Dragnet, " just the facts, ma'am, just the facts".

Why do they have to come up through the middle school system? Lexington Catholic doesn't even have a middle school. I fail to see what difference it makes where a kid attends middle school.

Again, it's not Scott County's fault nobody wants to move to your town. And I have zero ties to Scott County whatsoever. If anything, I might be inclined to be anti-Scott County, given the fact that they used to beat up on my old high school from back in their 8th Region days.

Build it and they will come.

Caretaker I'm sorry if I called you a hater and Scott County is not afraid to play any team - our coach believes to be the best you have to play the best and yes they may not have come up through the middle school but as someone else posted Lex Cath does not even have a middle school.

The fun part is watching the SC people defend what really goes on here. The great education, the wonderful community, the great history, etc. What they can't defend is the fact that these kids don't "just happen" to show up as was said about Long in an earlier report. Sure he did!! "Just happened" to show up like Ware "just happened" to show up this summer to play with Gilbert who "just happened" to show up from Wolfe county a few years ago. They are just a long line of talented BB players who "just happened" to show up from Rick Jones, Scott Hundley, Bud Mackey, Euton and Jackson, and even CCunningham for a short while. Too many to list them all really. So Billy Hicks response to a 11th Region State Champion is to go get him some more players instead of coaching up kids who come through his feeder system. Here's a question Scott County defenders. Have you seen Hicks beat a more talented team lately? I think when you see your new players who "just happened" to be on your roster you will have your answer.

The point was Toyota was behind bringing in players. Not true. The program is a great program with lots of succes and a great location. Period.

So, now we all need to believe that everything that has gone on thru the years at Scott Co has been spotless. I get it..

I believe that Lex Cath does have a middle school and play their middle school kids on their freshman teams.

They didn't 4 years ago. They had 6,7,8th grade teams comprised of kids from CKY and those kids pretty much played travel ball for LexCath as a LexCath middle school team but there isn't a LexCath middle school. Marcellous Washington of Bryan Station played some middle school ball for the LexCath middle school team. They would play other middle school teams and play in tournaments on the weekend but last I saw there isn't a school named LexCath middle school but they have middle school teams.

No but I do think circumstances for each kid are different and it is unfair to the kid and the school to make assumptions about every kid that ends up there.

The KHSAA rules prohibit moves for "Athletic Purposes"...... Hmm, how come 7 foot centers never transfer to Western Hills, or, Madison Southern, or, Atherton, or, name one of 200 other KY high schools not named Scott County?????

Wasn't Madison Southern's best player last year a transfer?

Never said that, and you know it. Realism always lies in the gray area.

I'm not doubting it, but it sure is a far cry from a couple of years back with Euton and Jackson with regard to the tune everyone sang. My how a couple of years sans a final four appearance erases the attitudes of many.

And people believe that Scott co gets by with everything.
