Anyone heard who will replace Coach Spurlock?

Yeah, that is the name I keep hearing too. Shannon has been an asst. at PCC the last several years. PCC wouldn't be making a mistake if they hire him. However, I think they should go after Denny Fugate who is a available or try to steal Jon Bentley (Estill) or Jon Noble (Buckhorn).

Where will Spurlock land?

I've heard it will be Shannon Hoskins with Denny Fugate as an assistant coach. They may go after Bentley at Estill but I don't think they will. They didn't a year ago when they hired Spurlock.

 

 

I'll talk with some people and see what I can get but for now that's all I have.

Yes. Went to South Carolina and then transferred back to Georgetown College and was a stud there.

He is a good coach and would do well at PCC

You remember when he played? I think I saw him play at the state tourney, but I'm not sure.

 

Has his coaching experience been limited to PCC?

Early to mid 90's. I know Hoskins was on the 1996 Gtown team that finished runner up when Coach Jim Reid was sick and couldn't make the trip to Oklahoma. I remember Dave Baker's report that Happy asked Bobby Keith to go to the tournament as a special assistant.

They should just allow Beverly to be player/coach.....

Whoever the coach is, the parents will just complain and get him out once again. Very close to perry central parents.. It's just sickening to know how much they care about 17 year old kids playing basketball.
