I've never in my life heard of anyone suggesting one of your best hitters should hit lower in the lineup to make it tougher on the pitcher when he's facing the bottom of the lineup.

I agree. Worst hitter in front of those guys is a waste. I believe Hanigan has one of the best OBP's on the team over the past couple years. (Career OBP of .364) More runners on in front of the big 3. He puts the bat on the ball so he will move runners. Why not Hangian/Mesoraco at #2?

May 21, 201313 yr Currently, I'd go Choo, Phillips, Votto, Bruce, Frazier, LF, Cozart, C, P.....I don't care about 3 lefties in the first 4. It's especially meaningless when two of the three (Votto & Bruce) are hitting over .300 against LHP.
