With towles on the roster, who starts?

Why would you say that? I personally thought he was going with the other choice.

 

Just one mans opinion, I think he and his family have been big blue all along, but Joker and his staff messed up the recruiting so much he flirted with SC.

So does he sit on the bench behind what used to be the second coming of Payton Manning(Patrick Towles) for 2 years? Glad he choose UK, but next year there will be someone better out there, then the next year and so on. Does he redshirt?

 

Unless PT redshirts there will likely be 2 years between them since it's highly likely Drew will redshirt. So at most it will be one year competing against each other.

 

Secondly, whether he picked UK, SC, Ole Miss, Tennessee, etc he is ALWAYS going to be competing for the gig each and every season. He understands that which is why he never used immediate playing time as a deciding factor. Heck, he'd likely play earlier at SC than UK.

 

The place he may have started as a true frosh is UL. Coach Watson loves Drew and worked him right to the end on trying to keep UL in the running. Drew really likes Coach Watson.

That's not the case.

It was a fun time being back at the ol' alma mater today. Hats off to the administration and staff for getting this all arranged. They had a bunch of kids in the gym taking AP exams so they had to make sure the fans and media didn't bother them.

 

Coach Trosper had both the UK fight song and the Gamecocks fight son at the ready.

 

Drew was a bit tight and nervous (as most of us would be at that age).

 

Glad to see him and Fogle continuing their toss-and-catch in Lexington.

 

Someone speculated earlier about Dave Trosper being disappointed. No chance. Maybe surprised but he was thrilled and said so on Skinner's show. He loves he'll be able to get to Lex on a regular basis to see Drew play.

 

Look for some more high-quality receivers to join the parade in Lexington.

Lastly, anyone who made a prediction ahead of time had no good info to go off of. The Barker camp was putting nothing out.

 

Heck, Drew's uncle and grandfather were there today and they had no clue which school Drew was picking.

 

His mom and dad knew. His sister only found out last night.

 

Fogle may have also known.

 

Other than that - no one knew anything.
