After reading article makes sense why she chose EKU.

I assumed it was because mt ref was receiving an honorary degree.

Wow, that is a huge feather in EKU's cap!

Laura Bush spoke at Somerset Christian some years ago, I need to go by and see if they have feathers in their caps down there.

They should. Anytime a First Lady comes to speak anywhere in Kentucky it is a huge deal IMO.

True, but I wouldn't walk across the street to see her or Laura Bush.

Your more of a Hillary man, right?

I can honestly say this with all my heart. If I was graduating from EKU and she was the speaker, my graduating butt wouldn't be walking across the stage. I hate that so many good graduates have to be subjected to her propaganda and bias opinions. Maybe she will tell all the grads that the job market sucks and that she will be out in the lobby signing everyone up for government welfare.

Please get a twitter page Mt. Ref!!

A guy I work with graduated from Berea College. He was saying the other day that Ricky Skaggs spoke at his graduation. I told him we didn't even have a special speaker at UK the year I graduated. So we were both fairly impressed that Eastern had landed a big name.

I hear you. It was definitely a WOW moment for me when I heard the news.

Also, the fact that it is Eastern Kentucky University and not Kentucky State University should be something that even mountainref would appreciate.
