The only way that they could possibly play would be if a parent were to organize them and have them compete in a league somewhere. There are none that are a part of an organization that I am aware of. There is a possibility still that the rising Soph's may be organized to play, but that is still up in the air.

 

It is more difficult as they transition to the Soph class. Most AAU programs at that age transition to higher level play with teammates from multiple schools, Also they have football 3 days a week (lifting and running). Certain most will show for open gyms. The incoming frosh class still plays. One comes if baseball doesn't conflict; unfortunately two are now in casts. We have 10 on the team. 8 will go to HHS and two that will most probably be Breds, They all are from Fort Thomas. Doty also plays with the group but he is all baseball between Frosh and JV (busy). Just once a week. I am certain those that have seen the group will be quick to admit they are getting much better

So is it official yet? Will Listerman run open gym tomorrow and start doing in home visits with some football kids on the fence?

According to Bluegrass Basketball on Twitter Highlands has hired Kevin Listerman to be the head boys' basketball coach. He will teach Biology at Highlands as well. Currently, he is an assistant coach at Colerain (OH).

Honestly was not trying to spin it at all - just asking the question to see what the Highlands fans thought about it. I have had sons in the basketball program at Cov Cath and that was the opinion on Listerman, voiced loudly by those inside and outside Cov Cath - So I was curious why it seemed Highlands faithful would want a guy whose reputation was wanted one sport only guys. Again, I did not agree with the reputation but it was/is out there.

 

Fair enough and valid points and questions that have seen his or their styles.
