Unbelievable I think students are doing this to miss half the day!

With today's technology, don't they have caller ID at these schools? If I were a school, I would block calls where I couldn't see their number.

Used to be a fairly common occurrence in the late 60s.

We did it in the late 70's early 80's, of course our administration grew tired of it and quit evacuating the school....different times.

Causing a bomb threat is considered a felony. This is second one at Summit View in 30 days.

Summit View and SK were notes in the bathroom.

At Woodland, they know the 7th grader who did it.

The fines are pretty extensive. They bring in bomb squads from the airport to search the buildings. The kid at WMS is in some big time trouble over the scare he caused.

Parents should be fined/held responsible along with the students, IMO.

Why?

Back when I was in middle school, the high school (Estill County High School) received bomb threats, had to evacuate them to the middle school until everything was clear.

Why?

Because they are responsible for their children?

Because they are responsible for their children?

to some extent yes, but in this case I cant see how. Child leaves a note in the school, during school hours, parents are not their, how can they control their child when they are not with their child.

My guess is the parents will be paying the fine if they determine who the guilty parties are.
