I think Snapp, or Blevins would be good for the job. Both do a good job of getting the best of their players. Blevins had a great opportunity to learn and grow under one of the best in NkY (Sullivan), and Snapp did a nice job with the kids from Newport, which, from what I hear, isn't always easy (grades, etc.). Whoever takes the job should have a nice program over the next few years. Good talent on its way.

The kids snapp was dealing with are not from Newport, 4 of the five starters are Cincinnati kids, the other one lives in Covington. Only one kid that played lives in Newport. Maybe say snapp had a god year at Newport High. Which they did.

Nonetheless, thought Snapp did a pretty good job with what he had. And, Im not close to the situation, but heard there were issues with grades, behaviors, practice availability with players (maybe because of location), etc.

He was at Ryle until he abruptly quit just before the start of the 2008 or 2009 season. He moved to Florida to coach and then moved back to Kentucky and I believe is somewhere in Lexington or Louisville. Rumor had it he had applied, so I'm just adding 1+1 and I have no inside scoop as to the truth of my hunch.

I'd be totally shocked if it was Grammer. It sounds as if he left on bad terms. He applied last year for the JV job they had and didn't get it according to Mullins.

Not 100 percent but I think Grammer was over in Norwood Hs Last I heard but this has been about a year or two

I think you're right. Mullins said he had problems with him, but did say that the principal Turner did like him though.
