April 18, 201313 yr Zito pitched pretty darn well in the post season. 3-0 in 3 starts. He was lights out against us in game 4. Leake pitched batting practice in game 5. I know. Had a solid season last year too. I still don't like him.

He pitched game 4 against Leake and didn't last past the 3rd or 4th if I remember. I think he let in 4 runs before getting yanked. After the DS he turned it on though.
April 18, 201313 yr Two years ago ... old news and little to do with today. Two years ago---wow, that far back.....wonder if any of the coaches told Votto, Bruce, Phillips, Arroyo, Hannigan, Cueto, etc. about that series.
April 18, 201313 yr Two years ago---wow, that far back.....wonder if any of the coaches told Votto, Bruce, Phillips, Arroyo, Hannigan, Cueto, etc. about that series. Yeah I'm sure that series was weighing heavy on their minds as they entered this 3 game series. :lol2:
April 18, 201313 yr Yeah I'm sure that series was weighing heavy on their minds as they entered this 3 game series. :lol2: I think it likely that the success the Phillies have had over the Reds in the recent past, including the playoffs, makes this sweep all the more enjoyable.
April 18, 201313 yr Leake is dealing' date=' Hammertime and UKMF nowhere to be found.[/quote'] In UKMF's defense I believe he's been absent all series.
April 18, 201313 yr I think it likely that the success the Phillies have had over the Reds in the recent past, including the playoffs, makes this sweep all the more enjoyable. Nobody is saying this series sweep isn't being enjoyed everyone, but the 2010 NLDS post was a bit over the top don't you think?

April 18, 201313 yr I would say that series (including Halliday's no hitter in game 1) is still pretty fresh in the Reds' minds. About as fresh as losing to UK in the 2012 Final Four is in the minds of the Louisville Cardinals.
April 18, 201313 yr I would say that series (including Halliday's no hitter in game 1) is still pretty fresh in the Reds' minds. That's 3 seasons ago...
April 18, 201313 yr This years Reds team would sweep that reds team easily. The giants series probably isn't even in their minds
April 18, 201313 yr About as fresh as losing to UK in the 2012 Final Four is in the minds of the Louisville Cardinals. If the Reds win the World Series this year, it will assuage the pain of the 2010 and 2012 playoff losses. :thumb:
