I am confused. Why would a coach leave a program that was 30-3 last season and won the All A state?

 

With some well known studs returning, the pressure would be on to repeat the All A and win the region. It will be very hard to do in a super competitive 9th. I think the team will miss their seniors more than most realize.

That being said, it is a financial move. Ask coach Goetz. Private school pay is horrible. Most teach for the love of the students, not the love of money. I'm sure Grant, with his love of NCC, was torn up about this decision. I hope his wife is not like Eva Gabor when they move closer to the new school.

Name one kid on that team that came from "anywhere" and not from Catholic schools in Campbell County.

 

If he gives WV what he gave NewCath, and leaves in 5 years, then WV should be very happy w/ this hire.
