I think we'll see him back at the helm of G-Town! I understand the reason he left has been resolved.

True and think he wants to go back, but what about the coach now. Just winning the national title. Only way is for him to take another job, IMO.

So GTown will get rid of their coach who just won a National Title? Are you serious?

I don't know how they work it out but Happy is a legend at G-Town and essentially built their program into a perennial NAIA power.

Georgetown was already a power. The at large bids didn't happen til after Happy took over.

Any news on the Paris job?

Paris is a very precarious position right now. The State has them on a list of schools it would like to see merged, in Paris' case with Bourbon County. A coach without a job might go there to get a year or two experience before the school merged, but a coach who already has a job would have to be very reluctant. Paris does have its best freshman group in 30 years and should be the favorite to win the 10th Region All A berth for the next three years. But a coach would basically be rolling the dice. The school does have its supporters, and the State has threatened to close it before without success, so they might fend off this effort. But that's what Monticello thought, too, and it looks like the State won this round down there.

Personally, don't see the merge. Paris will never merge with Bourbon (unless, as you stated, the state makes them). Curious to see how it plays out. They always seem to have athletes.

Funny, I've never heard of a list before. Explain this list because I have never seen it.

Are you serious? Where you see that at?

That was quick...considering they starting looking at applications yesterday.

So.... Being not from the area... Who is Brian Hall?

With the way the new super and AD are running things over there, probably not. They are letting go of everyone. I hear that this will probably Dan Gooch's last year as football coach over there.

Your way off base All State. I believe the admin brought him in and Happy speaks very highly of the admin. If you listen to him he bought into the vision to be top 10 in everything and it seems Montgomery is headed that direction. He seems happy at Montgomery but you can never tell what opportunities may present themselves.

Well they let go of just about everyone over there. Tony Wise, didn't even know he was getting released "fired" until he got the pink slip, same thing with Amanda Henry, Gene Combs and I have heard that this will probably be the last year of coach Dan Gooch. I may have been off on the Happy situation but I thought Phil Rison had a saying in bringing him aboard.
