Not in Boone County. Ryle coach, Coach Warner, does not teach at Ryle H. S. It's all about who you know!!!

 

 

I was told by a Ryle parent that he is "listed" as a substitute teacher for the District and that's the "work around"....No clue about the rule or if that is actually the case with Warner.

Why would they call people they are not going to interview? They will most likely send letters after the choice is made to the applicants thanking them for the application, but informing them they were not selected. The school does not owe any applicant a phone call unless they were interviewed and not selected.

The head coach of Conner's girls basketball team is not a teacher. It comes down to who the administration felt was the best candidate at the time.

That is an excellent question? I think it has to do with the principal of the high school, the superintendent of the time of the time of hiring, & who the hiree is!!!

I was told last night it is narrowed down to 3 candidates and they will be hiring a teacher and will want them at the High School. As far as names go I do not have a clue and this is the truth. I wish them the best and hope they hire someone very soon. JD

In general (there are always exceptions of course), I think schools try really hard to have their boys football and basketball head coaches to be teachers. They want as many teachers coaching as possible, but they really want those two coaches to be teachers. That is my observation.
